I Would Love to Have a Date with Him

I invited Edgar Allan Poe to have a date so I chose the night time so I can feel the horrifying feeling while talking to him.
Me: Hi. Good Evening, Sir Edgar Allan Poe. It is really a great pleasure to meet you.
Edgar Allan Poe: Good Evening, Jacob. By the way, you can just call me Edgar.
Me: Yes, Sir Edgar. I am really pleased that I am facing the historical and a great writer of horror poems and stories, Sir Edgar Allan Poe.
Edgar: So, what do you want to talk about?
Jacob: Actually, it is about your poems, Sir.
Edgar: Oh, what about it?
Jacob: They are just so great. How do you even make those poems?
Edgar: I make them through my imaginations and sometimes I base it on my life.
Jacob: Is that so?
Edgar: Yes. How about you? Since when did you have any interests in horror stories?
Jacob: That was the time when I discovered a page in Facebook that is posting about horror stories.
Edgar: How do you find them? Creepy?
Jacob: Actually, most of them are creepy and sometime, I even woke my father up just to go with me to brush my teeth. Hahaha.
Edgar: Jacob, you're really something.
Jacob: Is that a compliment? No? Okay.
Edgar: No, you're wrong. You're actually interesting.
Jacob: W-why thank you.
Edgar: You're welcome. How did you find my pieces?
Jacob: I got interested when we started having a lesson about them and your biography. I just knew that you write horror stories. That's why I started to have a like on them.
Edgar: Ah. Thanks.
Jacob: Oh, no need to-- I mean, you're welcome.
Edgar: Well, look at the time. It's already past 10:00 pm. Better get going!
Jacob: Oh, yeah. Nice meeting you! Thank you for accepting my invitation. *disappointed*
Edgar: Nice meeting you, too! Bye!
Jacob: Bye! *still fascinated*

The Nine Stations of CNSHS

The first station is composed of the latecomers. They are people who did not reach the school before the clock strike 7:45 in the morning. They are punished by standing in the middle of the field. The second station is composed of the people who are not wearing their IDs. They are forced to perform squats . The third station is composed of the people who entered the school without the proper haircut. Their teachers are the one who will cut their hair for punishment. The fourth station is composed of those people who wear colored socks. They are forced to wear shoes without socks for punishment. We finished the first part of CNSHS. Now, we will proceed to the inner part of CNSHS. The fifth station is composed of couples who display so much of their affection publicly that it is already so irritating. They are forced to be separated as punishment. They always stay in the pavilion. The sixth station is composed of the polluters. They are people who throw trashes everywhere. As for the punishment, they are to clean the room everyday, if caught. We will now proceed to the inner rooms of CNSHS. The seventh station is composed of the noisy people. They will have minus points in academics if they will continue to make a noise. The eighth station is composed of the people who use cellphones while having a class. Their phones are forcibly taken and can be received at March. The last station is composed of the people who create nicknames for the teachers. They use nicknames that corresponds to what they are and what they do. They are punished by being not called during recitations. I actually belong to many of these stations including the last one.

The Grammar of this Generation: Text Messaging

As the time goes by, many things are being invented. One of these inventions is text messaging. Text messaging is the act of composing a brief message through devices. Text messages helped us in communicating with other people. We use it to talk to our love ones living far away. It is also used in business purposes. But are these things the only effect of text messaging? Is text messaging really beneficial for all of us?
In this generation, technology is so advanced that even young people are updated with those gadgets and they also text. Many often use shortcuts for some words in sending text messages. They often take the vowels off. They also use abbreviations. I noticed that some of my classmates use the word "LOL" even if they are talking to somebody personally and some even use this in writing. I can say that they are adapting the way they text and it affects their spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Actually, I don't text the way they do. I do text but I use the proper way. I text without taking some letters off or substituting words into numbers. But sometimes, I accidentally take some letters off whenever I am required to compose a paragraph. Text messaging somewhat affects me but not that much.
